Pleasant, quiet, picturesque surroundings nestled in a North Jersey residential neighborhood is one way to describe Redeemer Cemetery. Located on 90 Chapel Road in Mahwah, Redeemer is a non-sectarian, non-commercial, church-owned cemetery accommodating all faiths and beliefs.
Managing a cemetery calls for a unique set of values, because of the long-term nature of the cemetery. It has often been said that a cemetery is the place that sells something once and takes care of it "Forever". Cemeteries have a special and spiritual reason for existence. They rekindle warm memories for many. An interment space is a place to remember someone who was "Special". The final resting place of a loved one is a "Foot-print" left behind -- a touch of immortality. Redeemer Cemetery is a resting place of distinction. It is owned and operated by The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Ramsey, New Jersey. The land was a generous gift of Mr. Luther Bogert, a former resident of Mahwah and a member of the church. The cemetery consists of 13 acres, situated between Pulis Avenue and Fardale Road. Located in a beautiful valley, one feels the calm, restful dignity that pervades. Today our cemetery has rolling green, manicured lawns, graceful trees (some well over 100 years old), and colorful flower beds that combine into a landscape of unforgetable beauty. Redeemer Cemetery is a proud member of the New Jersey Cemetery Association, and abides by all the rules and regulations governing cemeteries in the State of New Jersey. We are located 10 minutes from Routes 287 and 17. For more information concerning Redeemer Cemetery, please call 201-818-1222. |
