GENERAL
You will oversee an intergenerational ministry to form in children and families a vibrant Christian faith based on our baptismal promises:
You will work with the pastor, staff and Church Council committees to continually advocate for and foster a church environment that is welcoming and supportive of children and families.
You will work to develop relationships with children and youth and their families, to better respond to the changing needs and ministry opportunities within this community.

GENERAL
You will oversee an intergenerational ministry to form in children and families a vibrant Christian faith based on our baptismal promises:

- Hear God’s Word and share in the Lord’s Supper;
- Proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed;
- Serve all people, following the example of Jesus;
- Strive for justice and peace in all the earth.
You will work with the pastor, staff and Church Council committees to continually advocate for and foster a church environment that is welcoming and supportive of children and families.
You will work to develop relationships with children and youth and their families, to better respond to the changing needs and ministry opportunities within this community.
Family and Youth Ministries:
- Plan and provide faith formation activities and material for families and children that embrace intergenerational, home and worship contexts.
- Work closely with the pastor to recruit and train volunteers for faith formation ministries, including Sunday School, Confirmation, and Youth Ministry.
- Create and manage web-based catechetical material and social-media outreach for faith formation.
- Work closely with the pastor to coordinate the Confirmation program, including retreats, service projects, annual Affirmation of Baptism and Confirmation service and celebration, and other events.
- Interact with other committees to promote family-focused activities: family movie nights, Easter egg hunt, retreats, service projects, etc.
- Coordinate Summer Vacation Bible School (1 week/year).
QUALITIES, SKILLS AND TALENTS DESIRED:
- Lively trust, faith and joy in God that can find grounding in a Lutheran context.
- Love for God’s church, God’s people and the Gospel, with a heart for including people in God’s community.
- Experience creating and implementing faith formation programs in a parish setting; working with children and youth; building community among and between diverse people of all ages.
- Ability to create and maintain web-based and social-media engagement opportunities within congregation.
- Education (a degree or advanced certificate) in Christian theology or faith formation ministry;
- Understand and enjoy working both as part of a team and independently.
- Experience developing and recruiting teams; inspiring and organizing leaders.
- Open-minded leadership style, creative and positively persistent.
- Have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
