LIFE PASSAGES

​As a Christian Church, Redeemer celebrates all the life rituals of passage, including baptism, confirmation, weddings, and funerals/memorials.  Baptism and Confirmation are for members of the congregation, while weddings and funerals can be conducted for members and non-members alike, according to our liturgy.

BUILDING USE

As part of its commitment to living in our community, Redeemer makes some church building areas and facilities available for rental by local groups and individuals.  In general these spaces are:
  1. Lounge – can be set as “living room” or small conference spaces.  AV projector and internet access.
  2. Fellowship Hall – for larger meetings/events.  Can be set as dining room or meeting/conference space.  Kitchen facilities, AV and internet available.

OUTREACH

Redeemer’s Community
In addition to Sunday services, we conduct a number of seasonal services and outreach programs in Ramsey:
-Lenten Wednesday supper and service – short, informal services highlighting Lenten themes held following a light supper each week during Lent
  • -Awaiting the Light – a service held on a Sunday afternoon during Advent.  This service is especially focused on those for whom the holidays are difficult times
  • -Healing services, twice a year.
  • -Weekly Bible Study, Wednesdays, 10am
  • -Adult education – periodically, we hold adult education forums on topics of interest

Redeemer hosts the meetings of a number of community-based organizations:
  • -Quilters
  • -Toastmasters
  • -Leisure Club
  • -Girls on the Run
  • -Multiple Scouting groups
  • -Al-Anon
  • -Ramsey Garden Club

In Ramsey
Redeemer lives actively in the Ramsey community and offers the community
  • Ash Wednesday – Ashes at the train station 
  • Inter-faith Thanksgiving service – Redeemer has hosted this community inter-faith services and actively supports its continuation
  • Ecumenical Advent service – Redeemer is active in the planning for the 2019 initiation of this new community service
  • Special service honoring Ramsey First Responders – Redeemer participated in this special service held at St. John Episcopal church in 2018
